• Support the vision, goals and strategic plans of the Library Director, Board of Trustees, staff and community.

  • Foster programs that attract wide, diverse interests and encourage children’s reading, adult computer literacy, higher education and the arts, as well as local and state history.

  • Expand resources for such classes as computer training.

  • Partner with the school district to augment its teaching programs.

  • Sponsor more opera, film, poetry, travel and music events.

  • Reach out to seniors with activities, programs and access to books, music and films -- keeping them actively engaged in our community.

  • Explore untapped government, corporate and foundation funding resources to continue and enhance programs without burdening taxpayers.

Building strong community relations was the main focus of my 35 years as a police officer. Now a retired sergeant, I will draw on my leadership experience in community outreach with youth, seniors, civic organizations and businesses to help our libraries achieve their full potential and I promise to:
